Dunbar rallies past Colonel White by 4.

Dunbar escaped another upset bid Friday night with a 52-48 win over Colonel White in boys high school basketball.
The defending Division II state champion Wolverines, (10-1) and No. 2 in the state ratings, trailed 42-36 going into the fourth quarter. Then they began getting the ball inside to 6-foot-9, 295-pound Aaron Pogue, who had several key baskets as part of a 20-point effort.

In two of the previous three games, they had to make shots in the closing seconds to win.
Trotwood-Madison 81, Vandalia Butler 41: The Rams warmed up for the meeting tonight with Oak Hill (Va.) Academy, the No. 1 team in the country. The win makes them 10-0, 5-0 in the Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division. Duane Morgan was their leading scorer with 19.
Meadowdale 80, Belmont 64: The Lions (3-4) posted their second consecutive win. Jontay Farmer led four double-figure scorers with 18.
West Carrollton 61, Fairborn 59: Scott Jackson hit a pair of free throws with 0.4 seconds remaining to give the Pirates (4-7) the nonleague win. Matt Morgan was their leading scorer with 18.
Xenia 56, Miamisburg 44: The win moves the Bucs (7-4) into a first-place tie with Springboro in the GWOC South, both at 3-1. Zach Furlong led the winners with 13.
Wayne 67, Spg. South 55: Jesse Solomon scored 17 as the Warriors (8-3) remained in a tie for second with Beavercreek in the GWOC Central at 3-2.
Fairmont 72, Spg. North 29: The Firebirds (7-4, 2-3 GWOC Central) jumped out to a 27-2 lead. Drew Sawyer was their leading scorer with 21.
Northmont 58, Sidney 45: Andrew Parish scored 18 as the Thunderbolts (5-4) moved to 3-1 in the GWOC North.
Piqua 55, Troy 48 OT: Justin Hemm hit four free throws in the final minute for the Indians (5-3, 2-2 GWOC North). Pete Rolf led the way with 16 points.
Oakwood, 47, Valley View 43: The Lumberjacks (12-1) lead the Southwestern Division of the Southwestern Buckeye League at 6-1. Scott Casebere was their leading scorer with 14 points.
Milton-Union 63, Franklin 48: Nikki Johnson had 20 points and nine rebounds, while Mitchell Evans added 13 points six assists and seven rebounds as the Bulldogs (7-3) stayed a half-game behind Oakwood in the SWBL Southwestern at 5-1.
Mid. Madison 67, Northridge 48: The Mohawks (10-2) kept half-game lead over Dixie in the SWBL Buckeye Division at 6-1. Nathanael Harney had 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Dixie 57, Preble Shawnee 43: The Greyhounds (7-4) stayed a half-game behind Madison in the SWBL Buckeye Division at 5-1. Matt Risner led Dixie with 14 points.
